How online Quran classes work
You and the teacher are on a video call with the same page of the Quran in front of you both. You read, the teacher listens, and a mistake is stopped on the letter where it happened, not three lines later. That is the part an app or a recorded course cannot do, and it is the reason to pay for a class at all.
- Send one message. Say who the lessons are for, their age, whether they can read any Arabic yet, and two or three times in your week that could work.
- Take the free first lesson. The teacher spends it finding out what the student already knows, so the plan starts from there rather than from page one of a syllabus.
- Keep the same teacher and the same slot. Lessons are set in your own time zone, in the US, the UK, Canada or Australia, and a lesson can be moved with two hours notice.
- See the progress. Parents may sit in on any lesson, and lessons are never recorded unless that has been agreed with you first.

The order the Quran is learned in
Whatever age a student starts, the stages come in the same order. Skipping one shows up later as a habit that has to be unlearned, usually a letter said wrong for so long that it sounds right.

At two or three lessons a week, most adults read any page correctly in 12 to 18 months. A child starting at six or seven with three lessons a week usually reads slowly but on their own in 12 to 18 months. If nobody at home reads Arabic
This is the family the academy was built for, and it changes how a lesson has to run. A parent who cannot read Arabic cannot hear whether a letter was right, so the correcting has to happen in the lesson, not at the kitchen table afterwards. The teacher does all of it, and the practice set between lessons is something a student can do alone: listening to a recitation, rereading the page they just read correctly, or a short surah said aloud to someone.
You still have a part, and it needs no Arabic. Keep the weekly slot fixed, ask your child to read you the line they learned, and sit in on a lesson whenever you want to. Adults learning alone get the same arrangement, and a private Quran tutor sets out what that looks like week to week.
What online Quran classes cost
The hourly rate falls as you book more hours in a month. Every plan is four weeks of lessons, paid in advance, and unused lessons are refundable.

How to choose any online Quran class
Whether you book with us or anyone else, these questions separate a good class from a bad one. Ask every academy on your list.
- Is it live and one to one? Recitation is corrected by someone listening. A recorded course cannot hear you.
- Who exactly is the teacher? A name, where they trained, and whether they will be the same person every week.
- Is the price written down? An academy that quotes only after a sales call is choosing the price after it has met you.
- Can you try before you pay? A free first lesson costs a good teacher nothing.
- Can a parent sit in? For a child, the answer should be yes, on any lesson, without asking in advance.
- Is there a female teacher if you want one? Ask for the subject you need, not only in general.

How much do online Quran classes cost?
From $34 a month for two 30-minute lessons a week, which is $8.50 an hour. The rate falls to $7.00 an hour as monthly hours rise, siblings take 10% off, and the first lesson is free.
Can I learn the Quran online for free?
Your first lesson with us is free, with nothing to sign up to afterwards. After that, lessons are paid. The rules, charts and printables on this site are free to use on your own. Every other way to learn the Quran online free, from free apps to the remote circles of the Prophet’s Mosque, is checked and listed on its own page.
Can an adult who cannot read Arabic learn the Quran online?
Yes. Adult beginners start at the alphabet like everyone else, with the explanations in English, and most read any page correctly in 12 to 18 months at two or three lessons a week.
