Privacy Policy

This page sets out what Abobakr Academy records when you book lessons, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed.

What we collect

For a student we record a name and an age. That is what a tutor needs in order to pitch the first lesson correctly and to know who they are teaching.

From the parent or the adult student we keep the contact details you use to reach us, which in practice means a WhatsApp number or an email address, together with a record of what has been booked and paid for.

We do not ask for more than that. There is no requirement to provide a home address, a date of birth, a school name or identity documents.

How we use it

There are three purposes and no others: arranging and running lessons, taking and confirming payment, and contacting you about your own booking.

We do not sell student or parent information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not pass a student’s details to other families.

Confidentiality

Student details are treated as confidential. A tutor sees what they need in order to teach the student assigned to them, and nothing further.

Payments

Payment is made through PayPal, STC, bank transfer, TapTap Send or a similar service. Each of those providers processes the transaction on its own systems and under its own privacy policy, so any card or account details you enter directly with them are governed by their terms rather than by this page.

How long we keep your details

Booking and payment details are kept while the student still has sessions remaining, because we need them to schedule and account for those lessons.

Once the lessons have finished we keep a contact number so that we can reach you easily if you return to us later. If you would prefer that we did not, tell us and we will remove everything we hold.

Asking us to delete your details

Email [email protected] or message the academy WhatsApp number and ask us to delete your details. You can also ask what we currently hold about you or your child. We do not ask you for a reason.

Children

Many of our students are young children. Booking, payment and communication are handled with the parent or guardian rather than with the child, and the only information we record about a child is a name and an age.

This website

The site uses Google Analytics and Google Search Console so that we can see which pages people visit and which searches bring them here. Those tools set cookies in your browser and report on pages and visits rather than on identified individuals. This is separate from the booking information described above.

Changes to this page

If what we collect, or how long we keep it, changes, this page will be updated to match.
