Academy Terms: Lessons, Payment and Cancellations

This page sets out how classes at Abobakr Academy are booked, paid for, rescheduled and refunded. If anything here is unclear, message us before you enrol rather than after.

These terms apply to everyone who books lessons with Abobakr Academy, whether for themselves or for a child. Booking a lesson means accepting them. How we handle personal details is set out separately in our privacy policy.

Lessons and scheduling

Lesson times are arranged in coordination between parents and tutors, so a change on either side is discussed rather than imposed.

Trial sessions

A free trial lesson is available on request. It runs about 15 to 20 minutes, shorter than a regular lesson, and exists so the student and tutor can meet, check the starting level, and agree what to work on.

Attendance, rescheduling and cancellation

Your tutor holds the slot open for you, so notice matters. Please tell the academy at least two hours before a lesson if you need to move or cancel it.

Payment and subscriptions

Refunds

Unused lessons can be refunded. Lessons that have already been attended cannot.

How we communicate

Scheduling, cancellations and payment questions go through the academy’s WhatsApp or email. Please confirm any of these in writing. A change agreed verbally at the end of a lesson is easy to misremember; a written message is not.

If your tutor becomes unavailable

Where an assigned tutor cannot teach for reasons beyond their control, the academy provides a substitute tutor so the student’s schedule is not interrupted.

Where a tutor is absent because of something unexpected, a compensatory session is arranged so that the lesson is not lost. You are not charged twice for the same lesson, and the replacement session is scheduled with you in the usual way.

Questions before you enrol

If something here affects whether a programme suits your family, ask first. You can contact the academy or message us on WhatsApp, and we will answer before you commit to anything.
